I have been looking at overheard pictures of shoulder/bowarm alignment, and have observed a few things:
Most bad compound shooters have their shoulders pointing to the left of the target, and their bow arm pointing to the right of the target.
Many shooters seem to point their shoulders directly at the target, and their bow arm points to the right of the target.
Some shooters point their shoulders to the right of the target, and then their bow arm even further to right: James Park seems to be like this, for example, in the sense that his bow arm always seems to point to the right of his shoulders, and both are to the right of the target.
I have never seen somebody with their shoulders really in line with their bow arm, where both point to the right of the target (at the same spot).
But my real question pertains to what I seem to like doing: My bow arm slightly points to the right of the target, and my shoulders point much more to the right. (Or this is what it feels like; sadly, I have not taken an overhead picture.) This brings the string extremely close to my bow shoulder, and that seems to be reasonable, although uncommon.
Any comments? For example, could it be bad for the shoulder joint?
