So do you measure from the peep to the Lens of the scope......not the threaded rod?
The threaded rod lines up on a Titan, so the distance is the same. However I notice on a Shrewd the lens is approx 1/2" in front of the Rod.
Doesn't make any difference to my tapes, but does to the calculated speed.

Yes, from the peep to the lens.
As you say, on a Titan this should be identical to peep to threaded rod. The Titan has been made that way so that if your scope rotates your sight setting will remain identical. If the Shrewd rotates your setting will change.
Yes, if that measurement is wrong it is the arrow velocity that will be in error. For a small error you will probably not notice it in the settings (which is good). A velocity error will slightly change the arrow's drag, which will then slightly change the rapidity with which the calculations assume the velocity falls off with distance.
