Apart from the obvious ones who made the team, who is going to the World Field to watch? I'm planning on going up for the last few days for the shootoff. Anyone making the trip?

Hey, looks good, would be nice to go up (somewhat difficult I think) - I'll have a look at the calendar, and see...at first I thought 10-14th but, maybe it could be good to go up a little prior to see the practising.....

what time on Sunday are you leaving Bruce? Looks like that's the ind. finals shoot off.
Is the Friday one a ind. shoot off day?

From what I have heard it is all over on Saturday .
Clint is planning to head home Sunday as well
Saw a program at Geelong archers on Saturday and it appeared that all the finals were to be shot on Saturday .
I hope that this is right

Might be worth emailing to organiseers. Clint should too, would suck if he went home and missed the shoot off ;)

Hey Marcus, per the schedule you posted earlier in this thread the individual finals are being shot off on the 14th. Isn't that a Saturday in your neck of the woods as well?!
Thursday's elimination round will take the top 16 (I believe) shooters in each style and they will go on to shoot a 12 target elimination round (1/2 marked and 1/2 unmarked). Top 8 continue on and shoot another 12 target elimination round (I believe, again with 1/2 marked and 1/2 unmarked). Top 4 will then shoot off at marked distances on Saturday for the medals. Friday's shoot offs are for the Team events with the Team rankings being based on the 2 qualifier rounds for each of the compound, recurve, and barebow archers that will make up the team. Similar shoot-down style as an OR round (1 vs 8, etc.), each member of the team shooting an arrow at marked distances. Fun to watch as well.
Hope to see some of you there. Only 2 more weeks before the long jaunt.

Marcus ,
I am glad we got that sorted you were starting to get me concerned .
Planned to call in at Brown Brothers on the way home Sunday for a little sip or two.
Could have been a drastic situation if the archery was still on Sunday . :P :D
Jeff , Have a safe trip out Look forward to watching the worlds best compete .
I had a great time competing in the world IFAA held here 10 years ago and am looking forward to the experience as a spectator this time .
