.........well it's a long story which I'll tell you at the club tomorrow, but I'll say this.....My new Hoyt 3D micro pins cost me dearly! (suprise suprise!):eek

I shot 290 all told, after shooting the first two ends and dropping seven points!, only to realise that the whole bloody pin frame had moved about 3 mm to the right!!!!!!!

No Wonder i dropped seven points, the arrows were hitting the four way to the left.

It was pissing down with rain, so practice outdoors was not an option before the shoot and in Lilydales wisdom, despite a number of us asking, they would not open the indoor for practice before the shoot. We had a couple of warm up ends on the line before scoring, and I was shooting badly to the left, thinking "hey - is this me 'cause I'm cold, or is something wrong?" Of course I shouldn't have second guessed myself and I should have stopped with equip failure to fix it there and then, but i shot the first two ends, dropped seven points, cracked the ****s, went and fixed the $%^%&^#@ sight in the rain, came back and only dropped a couple of points for the rest of the round.

Anyway, a guy called Dave Shannon won with 298 and he shot pretty well, congratulations Dave, but if it werent for the sight I think I would have picked up second with about a 296.

In the end I think i came about fifth!

:(:(:(

Well done for the rest of the round, being you first shoot with this ind of gear it is a learning experiance for you on if something is wrong check everything just in case. :(

mmm, it seemed as though the retaining screw for the horizontal adjustment on the pin frame had worked loose... :mad

It is a good lesson to be more in tune with my gear!

:):)
