I currently have a 25lb bow, but I want to be getting a stronger one sometime, what would you suggest to get, I was thinking a 30-40lb bow.

Also the length of the arrows I should use are 28" would it matter if I use longer arrows such as 30/31" arrows? Because when I pull back the arrrow tip is close to coming off the rest, or is this supposed to happen?

Also I'm really into medival warfare and history stuff, and would like to untimately get a traditional wooden longbow. So I was wondering what disadvantages there are of having a traditional bow.

also is it just me or do you think that the modern 'new age' bows are ugly, like this one http://www.lasarchery.com/main04.jpg

Oh If your interested I'm 15 been doing Archery for 4 weeks now (though I have done it beofre but never hadmy own bow) and can shoot a garden cane from 25 meters, is that good? Well I'd actually hit the cane every 5 or so shots, the other 4 will miss slightly.
If your wondering why I'm shooting a cane, my friends Archery teacher said I should do it to get my 'nocking point' or something, plus it's more fun trying to hit that than a huge target.

What type of bow are you using compound or recurve and imo all bows are ugly but I do like to shoot them with my son Robert
