Hey Guys,
Anyone had any experience with this product???
Sent Clint an email he said he has stock but I was a little confused with the following.....
They suit any type of bow( with a stabilizer that is ) and because of the heavy spring inside that locks it in place the stand also acts like a stabilizer when its in the resting position.

Does this mean it actually attaches to the bow???
Does anyone have a picture of one?? Clint's going to be at the Sherbrooke Silver Cup and said I could see one then, just a little too far to travel.

 I know Marcus, dedication dedication dedication

How much are they, do you know??

They seem to be the trendy thing to have down here now and I am concerned not to miss out!!!

They are a good idea, I want one.

It fastens on the stabilizer and locks out to the side when you want to put the bow down. It is way too light to act as another stabilizer. I am quite happy with mine.

Do you know if Clint is shooting at the Silver Cup (if so, sorry to all those who were thinking of winning!!)

Maybe he can finally break Bernie Andrew's course record 357 (still stands after several years I believe) The Sherbrooke course is not considered to be very difficult and yet the competition record is 357, surely it will have to go down soon. At the World field trial I think the best was a 357 shot by Bryce Lee (I think the record has been equalled several times)

No one has ever cleared the course I believe. :-?

Bryce shot 358 at the World Field selection event. That is now the highest. Clint's highest on that course is 357.
Bernie had a 357.
I have a 356.
Leigh has a 353 (I think).
Mike a 354.

Back to the Kesti
Here is a pict of one, you can just see it attached to the stabilizer. It folds down like a kick stand. I have one too, really like it. I ALWAYS forget things on field courses, this stops me losing whatever I'm using as a bow stand at the time.

Hate to make a correction but the official results of the World Field Trial list the top score (by Bryce) as 357.

http://archery.alphalink.com.au/frame_Sherbrooke%20Archers%20Home%20Page%20.htm
go to the results page...

It will be broken soon, I think, and if Bryce and Clint are shooting the Silver Cup then I suspect that barring bad conditions it will go down then. (now I have put the moz on them!! He He HE :P )

Mike, you are correct (I must have had a brain fade - I know I did on the day of the event). What was memorable was that someone actually beat Clint for a day.

It was good to see. If Bryce and Clint are both shooting it should be an interesting contest this close to the World Champs

Mike,

I have plenty in stock and the price is $65

I will be at the Sherbrooke Silver Cup if you would like to have a look at one.

From Clint's email.

Thanks Gary.

I think I'll stick to my highly technical old-arrow-shaft technique of holding my bow up for the time being (the arrow I use cost me about $12!!) I hate being poor

I have been in contact with Clint and I have asked that he bringing a few stands along for sale at the Silver Cup. I know a few of my members are after the stands and they would be ideal for the upcoming World Masters Games, Indoor, Target and Field ( where did I put that stand??)

Cost is $65.00.

So if you are interested bring along some extra cash.....(Its father's day the week after, maybe thats an excuse to buy one)

PS getting some great support from the clubs this year with DVA sending 16 competitors, throwing down the gauntlet it seems..........

Bryce Lee, Jim Park and Clint Freeman are all competing at the event, No one has ever shot 360 on our course, now there's a challenge guys.....

:D :D

Hey Luke and Marcus when you come up to the 3d nats I will show you an even better stand called the bow shoe, it also relies on a stabiliser but has the added advantage of keeping tjhe bottom wheel out of the dirt. Perfect for field and 3d shooting.

OldDog

Nothing to it Luke, just slips in your quiver, belt pocket or girlfriend, whoops

Marcus

Ahh, so it's not attached to your bow while you shoot then? No good for me, I'ld lose it. :(

Hey Noel, and Paul,

I don't use a Kesti bow stand, I'm sure they're great ....just not convinced I need one, but why would one use one of the stands you're talking about when you can just as easily carry around the old "arrow" bow stand.....any advantages???

OldDog

Three that come to mind Luke, no. one is price, no. two is the fact that you never have to put your bottom wheel in the dirt again, no. three they just look cool. :D

Marcus

Noel, when you own a Hoyt you don't need to spend extra to look cool! ;)

Hmmmm, I see one of your points Noel. Price is not a concern, as I use an old ACE for my 'bowstand', and as Marcus said re: Hoyts....I shoot a CyberTec whilst wearing my famous pink jumper :) , So I already look cool :D :D

But you do have a point about putting the bottom cam in the dirt, that's something I've never liked doing....

OldDog

Do you have fishnets and stillettos to go with the pink jumper :D :o

I just bought one of these stands and it's a little bent. I was wondering if it's supposed to be that way. Anybody elses bent?
