So am I just being anal, do you need to register your bow for the warranty to be valid. Is the warranty worth anything anyway???

Does it interest anyone to know that you can register your Hoyt bow online. Well let me clarify that. You can register your Hoyt COMPOUND bow online. No recurve listed. BTW is it just me being blind 8) or is the bow serial number printed with invisible ink  . Doesn't seem as though mine has one  .

Anyone had any experience with warranty on bows???

I believe you mentioned somewhere that you have an Aerotec.

Remove your grip and look at the sight mount side of the riser. That is a run sequence number, which uniquely identifies your riser. If you have a prototype bow there will be no letters, just a number, but production bows all have the suffix "AR".

And no, you don't need to register to have warranty coverage. Save your original sales receipt. The riser is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship to the original owner for the life of the product.

George,

Thanks for that, great memory. Thought I was going sane there for a minute, not a bad warranty you boys offer. Gotta say I'm damn impressed with this product :D :D .

Hey George,

What is the advantage of registering online (or even just registering for that matter)? I've recently bought two CyberTecs, and haven't registered them, .....should I?

:-? :)

I suppose that registering on line helps the marketing people at Hoyt have some idea of who the consumers are. It might be used to send information on special offers on clothing, etc. with an 'opt-in' for e-mail. If I shot a compound, I would probably register on-line.

Suggest you keep your receipts and enjoy your bows.

Hey George,

I just went to register online, but the registration form has no provision for people outside the US. We are in Australia, so the form should have something like.........."outside the US" blah blah, and a country, state field etc for people like us. Or doesn't Hoyt care about us Aussies?

.....just a suggestion - if Hoyt fix the form for people from other countries, I'll register
:D

Thanks!

According to their online registrations though they have collected market data that says their customer base is only in the US so it doesn't matter.

Actually that is why I never registered my Hoyt last year either.
