hhmmm, I'ld almost be more inclined by the 600's at that setup. I'm using the 500's at 27" and 53#. What arrow spine are you using at the moment?

Go with the chart STeve, you still have the luxury of bow weight and point weight adjustments for any discrepancies between your chart reccomendations and your final setup.

As my draw length is thirty and a half inches Steve, you might be better off going with Marcus on this one his setup is much closer to yours than mine is, sorry to confuse you. :D

If it's any help steve, my wife, Hayley is shooting 44lbs 25" dual cam Hoyt CyberTec and uses the 800 triples. This spine works very well for her. It's a hard one to pick from the chart, but as Noel said, you have the luxury of arrow length/point weight/bow weight to help your tuning, so I'd be surprised if you couldn't get either the 600 or 700 to work. Charts are only a guide, so it is hard to tell.... :)

If the Safaris shoot well then go the 600's. If you plan on upping your draw weight maybe the 500's, but the 600's will do you up to about 52#.
At you draw though I just can't help but feel that 700's will be too weak.

You're probably right Marcus, but you know I can't help leaning towards the 700's 'cause they'd be lighter hehehehe!!! :P

i purchased some 600 cartels today and am going to put 1.75 easton diamond vanes on them as i dont have the patience for curlies how much weight diffence is there between these vanes.

I think there is a few grains difference between these vanes, the kurly vanes being lighter, but I don't know how much. You're shooting compound aren't you stevej? Not many (very few) people use the kurlies for compound....I'm not saying you shouldn't, or that people haven't, just that very few people do. I believe that they are designed for recurves primarily? (I'm probably wrong on this, I really know little about kurly vanes/spin wings etc) Please omebody who knows something come and set me straight :D :o :D
Cheers,
Luke.

It doesn't really matter one way of the other. Vanes work well for compound and recurve, as do Kurleys/Spin Wings.
Off the top of my head I know that
Clint Freeman
Madelaine Ferris
Dijan Sitar
all use spin wing type vanes.
Why many don't is durability. When you are crunching arrows together in the 10, you damage heaps of those things. Vanes are more durable. That is all.
