A nice way of preparing for a competition is to have the goal of at least shooting one perfect shot.
Nothing about being among the three best or shooting above 560.
Then you try to acheve the perfect shot with each and every arrow you shoot. As soon as one shoot is done, you evaluate it briefly and then forget about it.
Your goal will always be the same: to execute a perfect shot.
Scores and the ones you have shot whether near perfect or not is totally unimportant until the end of the competition.
Goals like shooting an end of f.eks 56 in average might unconsciously restrict you to only shoot an eight with the last arrow if that's what you need to reach your average goal. :bday:
