Shot one of these today. Very very impressive bow. Had no sight on it and was too long for me. However I shot about 20 shots through it and kept an eye on the end of the long rod. Very stable bow for a reflex riser. Held perfectly. Had a little more kick that I like from a bow, howvever it kicked in the same spot everytime, every show was the same. Was on blank butt so can't say if it groups or not. However on first look I would now be 80% set on buying a Tec type bow, probably a ProTec. Talk is though that Clint Freeman shot a 1408 with his 2 week old VorTec, might make a OK target bow.

Yeah I would love love to shoot it for a few days before buying it to helpl decide. I'ld conside it because it's fast. It's amazing how well it just slotted into the hand, my Mach 5 sometimes slips at full draw which ruins the shot. THough the ProTec might just be the best one. Now I have to sell my G4 Cube to pay for one.

OK well I've just got back from shooting the UltraTec.
Firstly this is the same bow that Clint Freeman has shot 1400+ Men's Fitas with, so it should be a good example. Also it was way too heavy for me (60#, I only shoot 52#. ) and the peep site was way too low forcing me to achor just under my eye. The site on it was a scope (which I dislike) and the draw legth good.
OK, my forst reaction after drawing back was "dammit, a scope" on the release I thought, "wow, that dot barely moved at all!" The shot itself was very nice with the bow reacting very well. What's more, like the VorTec, it reacted the same way after every shot.
Shot about 18 shots through it and the grouping wasn't great, but it was so not setup for me that that didn't concern me.
Also had a shot of a Sapphire (very nice light little bow) and Dad's Stratus Plus which was no where near as nice as the UltraTec.
Final verdict, it will most likely be my next bow.

mmm...glad to hear the favourable report. I can just imagine you anchoring below your eye! :D:D very funny!
but the Ultra tec sounds really good...If I can convince Hayley:rolleyes I'd like to get one. Bows Arrows and Bits says that there should be some Ultra Tecs coming in soon, when they arrive I think I'll go and have a closer look.
BTW...I'm interested to hear what the limb/cam options were on the Ultra Tec of Clint Freeman's you shot?
I like the look of XT3000 limbs with Command cams...should be quite good performance but not too aggressive:) is there such a thing as the perfect compromise???
I think the Saphires are a great short draw bow :) if only I could get Hayley to shoot Hoyt :)
...and for the Stratus Plus...I really love mine, and it's shooting pretty well now, but I really think the Ultra Tec will be just "that much" better by the sounds of it.

Yeah wasn't very comfortable. :(
ooohhh didn't know some were coming in, might have to reserve one, worry about paying for it when it arrives.
The one I shot had XT2000 limbs and Command Cams. Clint only shoots Command Cams, but his current bow has the XT3000 limbs on it which he prefers because it's more stable, Dad is getting his UltraTec with Redline cams soon. After shooting the Command I don't see why anyone would shoot single. Nice backwall and good performance.
I think the Ultra with 3000 limbs and C Cams will be the perfect blend, most people who shoot em think so, let's hope.
After shooting it I shot the 40m leg of a Canberra (5 ends 40m on a big face) and shot a 298 out of 300 with my Mach 5. Was thinking, "maybe I don't need a new bow" but after shooting Wednesday night I think I do for sure.
Of course a new bow and I lose my excuses. :(

Yeah, that all sounds good to me, XT3000 with command cams :) I wonder how many Peter is getting in ? at this rate they will all be gone before they arrive! I had no idea David has ordered one? Why Redline?...is David a big solo cam exponent?
hmm 298/300 at 40m is good shooting, and why do you think new bow after wednesday? 293/300 indoor is not bad :confused...although now I've come down from shooting 293 I'm already not happy i didn't shoot 294 :D, so I can undersatnd.
I disagree with the theory about new bow and losing all excuses though...to me it just opens a whole new bag of excuses:):):)

Dunno, I'll have to give him a call and make sure he has one in my spec (I havn't ordered though).
Yeah Dad is a huge solo cam fan. Don't know why, probably because they are harder to tune.
293 kinda blows for me. It's my best this year but I use to shoot 297 on a weekly basis and am getting frustrated with my lack of progress back to that level. Problem with indoor is that a 293 is 7 bad arrows. Get that down to 6 then 5 etc and it's an addictive combo.
Kinda sick of excuses, time to shoot well and take over the world MHAHAHAHAHA :D
