Marcus I had some spare time on my hands (nothing on tele to watch) so I opened an archery-forum channel on IRC. I hope this isnt over stepping the boundaries or anything like that.

it is on the AustNet servers and the channel name is #archery-forum

How does it work? I'm not a chat user. I only use iChat to talk to a business associate and to Steve Abbey.

Will help others get on too.

No no overstepping boundries. This forum belongs to all of us and I appriechiate any help people can give on expanding it. Thanks guys.

You will need an IRC client like mIRC (or I am using Trillian's IRC component) ,not sure what you can use for mac or linux/unix/openBSD.

once you have this you will need to set your nickname etc and the server you want to connect to. Choose any of the Austnet servers e.g. nz.austnet.org

then either use the menus and join channel #archery-forum or in the command line type /join #archery-forum

and then hopefully you should be in (but dont quote me on that only been using IRC for the past week!

Nope.
BTW you need to fix your email in the Profiles of the forum. Email notifications to you are bouncing.
