Entry form for the 2002 Victorian State Field Championships have been posted to clubs today and will be on our club notice board on the weekend.
Event will be held on the weekend of the 26th-27th October and will be the last major event held at the club for this year. Closing date for the event is the 11th October 2002.
Volunteers will be required again for the 2 day event and I would ask club members to consider putting their hand up for the weekend.
We had a good response at the Silver Cup and expect similar numbers (unless everyone's worn out from the World Masters Games!)

Robert, please pass on my congratulations to your team of workers for a very well conducted event over the last weekend. Most enjoyable and no hic-ups at all. I enjoyed myself immensly and I am sure that all archers feel the same. Thank you to All at Sherbrooke. 8)

Robert, DVA never recieved the entry forms BTW or our score cards from the Silver Cup. What address are you sending them too? Please confirm correct address (which I will find for you) before sending latest cards.
thanks.

Photos (on CD) from the weekend shoot (Vic State Field 2002 Oct. 26th/27th) will be available from Sherbrooke Archers shortly. I will also play with putting most of them them into a slide show and stored as an MPEG for transfer onto a VideoCD (to play on any compatible DVD player).
I hope that they will be put up on the website. The CD idea last year meant that most people didn't get to see the photos (most people really don't want to buy a CD to look at them and would prefer to simply view them on a web page). I didn't look at them last year. I would much prefer them to be on the web.
Moorabbin typically has their photos on their website within a couple of days of the shoot. That's really good and its great to be able to see the photos soon after the event. It would be great if Sherbrooke could do the same.
I don't know what's involved with doing the two options, but I imagine that uploading for viewing on a website is easier than creating CDs etc.

I'm sure some will be on the website - but not over 300 that were taken on the weekend. :)
Oh, I understand a little better now!!
Have you got photos of all the competitors actually shooting? These are always the best photos I think, more interesting than photos of people standing around at lunch or accepting a medal.

I will be putting up photos of the State Field as soon as possible, John put in a mighty effort over the weekend and as mentioned has over 300 photo's.
We will have a very good record of the event:-

I'd say about 2/3rds are action shots of shooting - including some sequence shots for technique review.
