A few questions
How many strands do people use in their cables?
What would the effect of say 16 strands over 18 be? Or 20 over 18?

I use 14 strands on both my strings and cables. The reason is that to me more strands simply means heavier, and slower. At 130lb breaking strain per strand, they are more than strong enough to cope with the strain, and they are fast! I don't know of any reason to use more. The only thing I need to dois use g-small nocks because of the thin string, but I prefer those anyway.

I like to use a heavier cable than string , especially in fast flight ,usually 22 strand cable and 20 strand string .
However at the moment I am using a set of Strings made from 452+ not real keen on it goes fuzzy very quick but the wheels haven't moved since I put it on so I suppose I can live with a fuzzy string
