Hi when replacing bus cables on a bow, I have been told that you can put twists in the cable for tunning. How many twist do you put in? Does this effect the draw weight and draw length?
Also can some one show me how you tie nocking points as I have hear of people not using brass nocking points but string/serving
Thanks

Yes putting twists in the cables does alter the draw weight and the draw length.

Put twists in and it willlengthen the draw length, and add a little to the draw weight.

To tie a nocking point, you just wrap the string/material around and tie like you would a shoe lace(without the bow :D ) and wrap it back around and repeat, do this several times and finish with a double knot. Melt the ends to finish.

There are a few on here that can explain it a bit better and maybe put a picture up. :D

Wat i do is I try to twist the cables till the bow is up or close to the A-A spec and brace height spec.

Robert is the bow twin cam or solo cam? , cause if it is twin cam part of the timing of the cams is done by twisting the bus cables, what this does is ensure ethat both cams rotate together and that the string hits the "stops" on the cams at the same time, makes for a reasonably solid wall (depends on the cams) so you need to keep your "eyes on your fries" mate.....
