So, what do you do for strength and muscles to shoot better?
Do you just shoot or do you have any exercises for this?

I shoot 5 days a week. No time for weight training.

I'd shoot on average three days a week - sometimes four.

I don't do any specific weight training to target archery muscles - but I do quite a bit of mountain bike riding and kayaking (amongst other things). I'm convinced participation in other sports like this is somewhat beneficial to my archery from both a cardio-fitness point of view, and from an improvement in muscular development in some areas.

Kayaking would have to be great for shoulder and back strength.
Certainly more exciting than weights.
I've taken to holding my bow at max poundage draw length for a few seconds whenever I walk past it and think of it.

Yes, the mountain biking is great for cardio fitness - and the kayaking is a great for the upper body.

The great thing is I love doing them both, regardless of how good or otherwise they are for me, so it's win-win :D

........that is good for me until I bail off the bike flying down some crazy single track in the middle of the bush or capsize the kayak a couple of kays out in Port Phillip Bay

capsize the kayak a couple of kays out in Port Phillip Bay
I'm going pale just thinking of that.

It' not fun I tells ya - I've done it before, and boy - It's cold!

I learnt the hard way when I capsized the kayak with a 100cm Barracouta on the end of my line :o The bastard swam away with my favourite rod and reel! About $400 worth of gear is on the bottom of the bay

Now everything is attched to a lanyard! No fish is ever getting my gear again! :x

Anyway, I can get back into the kayak - it's just a pain in the arse - actually it's a pain everywhere
