Match Play at Sherbrooke

Hey, does anyone know what the story is with a matchplay tournament at Sherbrooke this weekend?

I was at the nock shop today (bought a spotting scope - I really am a target boy now :eek) and Alan White said that there was a match play at Sherbrooke this weekend with the six top target shooters in the state, and asked me if I was going to watch.

Does anyone know anything about this event, and whether it would be worthwile to have a look at as a spectator.

BTW what is the deal with target shoots as a spectator, can you take your new spotting scope or binos and sit behind the line watching or do you have to be completely out of the way???:D

Yeah I had heard something about this. I believe it is to raise money for Bryce Lee so he can go overseas. Never been to a spectator archery event so don't know the way they work. I imagine that taking your own scope will be fine. We have the AGM so we can't go unless it's Saturday, and then I would rather shoot myself. (I mean do archery myself)
I imagine that it will be almost all Sherbrooke, Moorabinn and Waverly shooters anyway. (maybe all PSE shooters? ;) )

Yeah, that sounds cool.

...but oops! I forgot about the AGM, Fancy me forgetting the AGM :)

I bought the Bushnell 15x - 45x zoom spotting scope. Really a cheap crappy scope, but at $180 I think it should do for a while.

I really want the Opticron Mighty midget 25x 60mm spotting scope from altservices, but its over $400. Too much right now :(
