It was a bit of a windy day at the location (though far less than homebush winds at normal times....)

We had a good time, as said by all, and some great shooting was done, especially because a lot of the competitors have never really done 2 full days of shooting in a row before, so congratulations to them all on surviving so well.

We also did a modified 50m team matchplay that had a very exciting close finish too.

In the matchplay, we had 7 teams running, and we shot 50m instead of the 70m.

The final match was between the DAR and the Upper Management teams.
It was a very close match, and in the end it came down to the last end.

DAR (Alex Norman, Dan Bray, Rob Talbot) took out the match with a 223 including their 15 point handicap, while Upper Management (Adrian Tchen, Don Chiou, Kirsten O'Hara) came close with a 221 including a 0 point handicap.

Unfortunately, I lost the match by shooting a 5 in the final end while the rest of the team managed to score 9,8,8 & X, 9, 9 and myself with a 9, 5, 9......

We had a great time, and we'll be looking forwards to what might be next year's event, and depending on who hosts it, we will definitely help them out with the organisation, as this year's was a interesting nightmare mix at times.

The competitors actually enjoyed it quite well, and had no problems with the FITA/FITA 900 format, and took it quite well.

The only downside of the two days was that target 7 blew over in the wind and killed 4 ACC's, and 10 Jazz........ a very hefty price indeed.

Excuse my ignorance, but can non-uni bums (like me) compete in the uni games?

You could certainly have shot with us, but unless you are from an AUS-E Uni you would be ineligible for medals and placings (same sort of deal as competing at the the NSW State Champ's. Score but no place).
