What is ABA doing ? Cant get any answers from anybody! Are they lobbying or lulling?I hope "our" association is doing something. It would be good if they informed us as to what they are doing. :o

I'd like to know too.
A note on the ABA bulletin board on the website suggests it's on hold for now..but how current is that?
I've asked at shoots and usually get a blank look - nobody seems to know.
Are any other associations lobbying?

Our branch of the associationa has written to the premier , minister of justice and the police and corrections minister . As of yet we have had no official response from anybody only a recognition letter of our original letter.
At present we believe that the issue is still up for consideration in the future
Have you written to your local members and put your point of view to them . It is up to all of us , not just our national bodies . Remember it is up to us all

Thats along the lines of the reply we got .
I think it is improtant that they know how we will be affected if this change of legislation goes through.

I will write a letter ASAP. I should note that when I first learnt of this issue, I was told that it was being dealt with at a branch level, and not to do anything just yet. I've heard nothing more than that, at least in our club - of course, I may have missed it.
Thanks Bruce.

:n00b: Coach. Let him learn a bit. Tell him to do some research on previous threads.
Patchy......Coach does have a point, beit a bit over the top  A kneejerk reaction statement like yours can lead the uninitiated to believe that we are all irrisponsible "Rednecks" that can only defend our actions and beliefs with slander and agressive overtones.
I would suggest that you should sit back (just for a bit) and read posts that have been submitted throughout the whole topic regarding this issue.
I admire your passion for the sport, weather you are a hunter, target shooter or both. Don't let the flame of your passion die before it has kindled to a healthy warm fire. Be strong, but most importantly.....be smart

This would be a great time for all the associations to put there differences to one side and present a united front. In the interest of archery!
