They're called K-Vanes and can be found here: http://www.vbs-archery.nl/news.htm
No more messy double stick tape and pencil lines you can't even see. But then the question is...Is there even an advantage to spin wings?

Once damage.. they are practically useless. Not as durable as Spins or Long Shots.
NOt very useful here as we get heaps of shoot thru. Once that happens there is very little chance of the K vanes surviving.
But really help in free throwing arrow competitons. Seems to get longer distances and some how generates lift...

are these the same as Kurly Vanes ?

There has been heaps of debate about if the curled vanes make any difference.
Apparently they do, but for most people I don't think it's noticeable.
And no, Kurley Vanes are not the same as K Vanes.
Kurleys are made by Altservices (Altservices.co.uk) while K Vanes are made by a Japanese company.
I shoot Kurley vanes because they are very durable.... at least the clear plastic ones are. Shoot-throughs and into the ground don't harm them at all. A light fletch massage with the fingers and they are back to normal.
And having clear see-through fletches are cool :P

Hmm, interesting that kurly vanes are that durable. Spin wings fall off if you so much as hit a target too hard. :P
So, do curled vanes group better, have greater distance, or both?

Note, it is the pure plastic kurleys that are durable.
The paper fluro ones aren't.
Their holographic range is fairly durable as well.
However, if you tape them on properly, and top and tail them as well, they stay on for ages. Until you decide to rip them off

Good to know. Question then becomes how do you mark the lines so you can actually see the damn penscil marks!? :P Nah, I just need an oil pencil or something.
So, just how much of a difference do spinnies make? Worth the price and effort?

Yes....the bright, sharper Kurly vanes cut each other too much when they group. Pity, becasue they are great colours. Holographic Kurley vanes are pretty tough and when mounted "backwards" , taped and bent they group as well as any straights.
The thing I like about them is that I can re-fletch walking back from scoring, ie without replacing the double sided tape. Low maintenance.
Not sure I understand the "clear plastic" version...is that new from Alt Services???

They have been there for a while now in the altservices range.
They are the Krystal Clear vanes.
it's very nice stuff and works great. At 90m, you can't see the fletches, so you know it's your arrows and not someone elses with the same nocks

Oh one more thing.. for those who have yet to use the K Vanes.. They are not flexible like spins or Kurly or Longshots. They are pretty rigid once u get them krumpled you won't be able to remove the creases like how u can with the Spins.
They don't fall off. Even for a shoot thru. No idea wat tape they are suppilied with but its damme strong.

Lucky you did when you did. They stopped making them. I wanted to get some Iraq flags but they said they don't make any of them any more! :D
Nah, not Iraq, was actually hoping for some California state ones, smaller than I have at the moment.

Chug,
Pencil on a carbon shaft shows up fine if you work with light, as the graphite reflects nicely.
Otherwise, you can use a white-out marker to draw your lines to fletch, as someone from our club does that too.
