Greetings.
Only started archery at the beginning of this year. Currently using a 2nd hand Hoyt Oasis. Am about to purchase a new bow, but need some advice.
Shoot mostly FITA (outdoor and indoor). Don't know which of the following to get. Hoyt Protec LX Pro cam & 1/2
Hoyt Protec XT3000 cam & 1/2
Hoyt ProElite XT3000 cam & 1/2
I am new at this, so don't get to technical.

I would highly recommend the ProElite XT3000 Cam 1/2 as the pick of the bunch there. Unless you have a 31"+ draw length I would not go the LXPro limbs.
The Protec is an excellent bow as well. With these I would be inclined to say go the XT2000 limbs, plenty of brace height, or if you want the higher axel to axel then look at the UltraElite XT3000 which still has plenty of brace height and a little extra speed.
(I have a new one still in box for sale next week)

Thanks for your reply Marcus. In a post in October 2003, you couldn't see why Hoyt would produce a shoot through bow, because it had been tried before without any great benefits over standard.
Now you are saying that the ProElite is the way to go. Why?
Tried a friends 2004 Protec (Lx Pro limbs) yesterday. Nice bow, but I felt more comfortable with my heavier Oasis. But then I am used to the Oasis, so it would obviously take a while to get used to a new bow. On Tuesday night I am trying a ProElite with XT3000 and cam and 1/2.

cam and a half has more level nock travel than single cams even the ones that look round like matthews. how ever duel cams wave the mast level and true nock travel of them all causing the least amout of porpusing but they are harder to tune than eather one. once you get the idea though it's cake.
my guess would be to go to your local proshop and not listen to to much of there jargon, shoot every bow they have, repeat at the next pro shop and see what fits and shoots best foe your individual style.
good luck!
