WHAT A HOOT !!!! Never has so much fun been had in two days of 3D Archery. Those who attended this amazing inaugural Spring Turkey Shoot will ever be again be intimidated by those turkeys.

Not the same

Cane Toads should be next. Big, Juicy, LIVE!!

You guys in Queensland have obviously got some sort of previously undiagnosed form of archery madness!!

It sounds to me like they are doing a great job in QLD. Indoor Canberras and Turkey shoots! Shame about the hot weather and Queenslanders otherwise I'ld be tempted into moving!!!

The good news is you dont have to buy mckenzie, we have a local manufacturer up here making excellent quality 3d targets at much more affordable prices, it has been a godsend for the 3daaa clubs.

Noel would you have a contact number for the 3D target manufacturer.
our club is after a target and we are having trouble getting one.
That turkey shoot sounds like a lot of fun.

Thanks
Robbo

Yes Robbo, It is called Kanga targets ring after hours on 0754931712 and ask for Al, mention my name and call him a ****head for me, it wont get you a discount but it will get a response, the targets are very good quality and are almost half the price of Mckenzie. :D :D

Hey Noel,

Are the Kanga targets similar in shape / size / scoring area to the McKenzie targets, or totally different like the Aust Style targets...

I was standing in our 3D shed yesterday and was looking at the Standing Bear. He is about 5 foot 8" tall. I've been trying also to find our Clout target so our Junior can get a score in.

Can you see where this is heading?

How about a Standing Bear Clout shoot?
We put about 10 of em out at 180m and try to pop em off with longbows!!
5 for a kill shot (chest, neck, or head), 1 for a hit, 0 for a miss. I reckon you put a 1 minute time limit for the 6 arrows too!

Then you just dress it up in a crusader's uniform and guess what? We've turned this thread into "clout thread mk. 2"!!

Here we go......

The really good news 2dogs, is that the centres for the fita butt have already been made, they look the goods, the target will be modular according to the wear areas wich should make them very cost effective in the long run, The outer is under development as we speak and should not be far a way.
The other good news is that al has developed a formula for arrow lube. I tried it with my cxls in the new fita centre the other day, man this stuff is slicker than ky gel, hehe, Must be made of roopiss or somethin, but boy it sure works better than the soap and other stuff we have tried :evilbat:
