I thought we need a place to dicuss our latest purchases and how cheap we were able to get them, and how many bottles of vodka and cartons of beer we sacrificed in order to get our equipment.

I got a brand new Aerotec handle, almost $800 for a birthday present.
Getting Hoyt FX limbs (2nd hand) $300.
Buying new ACE Arrows shortly about $550

Grand Total, $1650. = 61 bottles of vodka or 30 cartons of Corona.

What I shoot now

L/H blue fade axis : found it at archery academy brand new for $750 was 850 or something but I held up my name and refused to pay full price. Probably the last new L/H axis on earth thanks to dave :lol:

44# gen 3 FX Limbs : 2 months old from 2dogs for $500 I managed to wrangle him down $50 on that :wink: (just after i got these Owen was selling his for $500 anyway bastard :lol: )

32 450 X10's : 12 are new (one is dead though :x ) from Marcus, good price $600 all up I think, 9 relatively new from Andrew LeBroque for $200, 11 from .. someone else for $50 accompanied with about 3 mismatched sets of ACE's and some random Aluminium arrows

Aurora case : brand new, was originally going to only cost me 350 all told at my doorstep from the US. then customs sent me a fantastic letter saying that 'oh by the way, we opened it and inspected it and we're going to charge you TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS for the privilege' thus ends my overseas buying :roll:

L/H Hoyt compound, I keep forgetting the model, its old (solid carbon plus limbs) two BT releases, sureloc sight, ACE rod, rest. $400 from the same loverly person who I got the arrows off.

L/H Avalon plus in sexy purple: off Jackson Fear, cant remember how much it was, it was real cheap cause I got a beiter button, shibuya carbon Xtreem sight, shibuya rods (including the extravagantly expensive carbon v-bar) most likely for about $500 knowing me :D

Samick crappy limbs: $100 off Mike Narray - sold for $50

awesome scope - not sure of the brand but its water proof nitrogen filled and has great optics, ask Aarleks: $480 B'day prezzie.

all told $4130 - meaning, I have been sober for a while now :cry:

Aurora recurve setup - from Adam Guggisberg for $687USD or some such thing. Included the riser, 42# limbs, Beiter button, Cavalier FreeFlyte Elite rest, Loesch grip and some nice Martin covers to put everything in.
SKB double recurve case for $110 USD shipped. Said I wouldn't pay any more than that and she accepted. Thought I had a free stabilizer thrown in but it turns out it was put in there by mistake... :(
'02 Hoyt Protec - bid $290 USD on Ebay and didn't meet the reserve. Said she wanted $315 shipped for it. Score!
10x X10 410's - $175USD shipped. Then got hit with a customs bill of $113AUD after they arrived. :(
10x X10 410's - Somewhere around $160USD shipped. A good purchase.
21x ACE 400's - $150USD from Pierre Grimeaux - I think he realised what a sweet deal I got after the fact!
Sure-Loc Lite - $137USD shipped, came with two spare extensions, two spare mounts and loads of other bits. Just about paid for itself now.
CBE Scope - $40 USD shipped. Two lenses but no mounting rod - a hunting pin fixed that right up! :)

Quick update.

Didn't get the FX limbs after all. Probably gonna splurge on new limbs after a while.

Bought New ACE's with black nocks and black spinwings.

I'm in a very dangerous position because I now have a job and a VISA card. I can't stop ordering stuff from alternative :-/

And I plan to stock up on the alcohol in the new year :D

Alas I am no longer a povo uni student. I am shocked that I have spent more on alcohol than on archery of late, I havent bought anything for ages. However, I am contemplating a Shibuya Ultima Sight. Which is equivalent to 1.36 bottles of Absinthe from http://www.absinth.com/cgi-bin/s_cart03/perlshop.cgi
