absolutely!
In fact do we even have one?
I think a black t shirt with the logo on the left breast and DV ARCHER on the back.

Im sure you could come up with something better than a black tee shirt. Twin city already have a black uniform. you should see them sweating out in the sun on the target range.

I like black.
What I would like is grid iron type jerseys in green with yellow strips (like the Green Bay Packers), but I doubt I'll get that through the commitee.
Otherwise dark blue and light blue (like the Tennesee Titans)

You'd get my vote on the grid-iron type jerseys, and I'm the Secretary and ABA delegate :D
I'm sure I could lobby the registrar too, I see her a fair bit ;)

We need to keep the yellow and green as they are the colours of Diamond Valley sports teams. I would like to see more yellow in the shirt colour, maybe 1/2,1/2 or 1/4,3/4? Have you seen Rays crossbow shirt he took to the Nationals. Need something to turn peoples heads for a second look. After all we are the premier achery club. :D

2 issues that I see here, colour and design.
Colour.
Yellow and green do not market very well. I will wear them in respect to DVA tradition, however yellow should not be the major colour. It's gaudy. If you check major sports teams only the very very old ones use green and gold as colours. Example.
NFL: 1, Green Bay Packers (an original team)
NBA: 1, Seatle Sonics (they announce a new logo and colours Monday)
MLB: 1: Oakland A's
NHL: 0
Why is this important. Marketing. No I don't think we will get a pile of people watching us shoot because we are dressed in finky colours, however it may help attract people to the sport. I personally enjoy lawn bowls, but won't play it because of their dress codes and reputation. Same with cricket (except cricket is also boring).
I recommend we move to green and white. Very nice colours together and doesn't take us too far away from our heritage.
Shirt style I think we should be flexible with. Polo shorts lok bad and are hard to move in. I like sleaveless shirts and grid iron tops because they allow more movement which is important.
Any ideas on a new club logo?

mmm... I don't know anything about marketing, but I'm pretty keen on the green and gold thing. Maybe I'm just patriotic? Like Australian team sports uniforms etc are pretty much green and gold, and I've always thought they looked pretty good.
Maybe an incorporation of our original colours against a different colour background, like green and gold against black? I know I'm no designer, but would that work???
I'm also a big polo shirt fan, I've always liked shooting in them, and pretty much wear them all the time (I've got one on now, ...come to think of it I've had a different polo shirt on every day this week!:)). The polo shirt thing is obviously a personal thing with me, what does everyone else think? If we don't go for polo shirts, I don't mind the grid iron style top idea, but I guess after some thought it would be my second preference.
mmm... as far as the new club logo is concerned, I didn't know we were going to change it??? Could we have the same Diamond Valley Archers logo on a newly desinged shirt?
I wouldn't like to see it changed too much, what about just a modernised version of the same logo if we are going to change it. I know I'm boring and a bit sentimental, but I kinda like it.
Anyway they are my thoughts...what does anyone else think.:confused

Hey Marcus,
If we are changing uniforms I vote we go with the archer man in fluro pink on either black or white:eek. No come to think of it - on black:D. That way our blokes can still keep some masculinity!:rolleyes

i have an idea for a new tournament style uniform which wont take over from our traditional gay looking ( woops did i say that out loud )uniform . The new uniform would be for tournnaments only and would have little or no collar and would be fairly tight fitting like archery clothing should be! secondly get rid of green and yellow put the original logo on somewhere include a new design logo i have been working on and lastly change the colours mid to dark blue with mid to light silver for logos and striping etc. :D

Does Waverly still have the white tops with the faded green arms?
Green and gold can look OK when done right. Need good shades.

Here is an idea for a DVA Tournament shirt. No logo yet, just from a catalog.

I like that style of shirt alot Marcus.....the style looks a bit like the Hoyt 3D team shooters t-shirt :), but I still think we should retain the old logo for after all I really think it isnt bad.
Maybe something written on the back of the shirt or one side of the chest, with the current DVA logo on the other side of the chest. I dont think there are colour restrictions for the current logo, as long as it looks the same.
