New Indoor League

The next Indoor league will start the Friday after the State Field. I won't do an outdoor one because things will be busy, however I will do a teams event! Maybe 2 or 3 person teams.

I reckon that's what the members at DVA were saying about 20+ years ago -way before my time- before they started saving to build a nice clubhouse.

Now we have a great clubhouse, and people like me can appreciate the benefit of all of their saving and hard work over the years.

I think our club has only been going for about 5 years.

But we only have a small membership. We had 25 shooters last shoot and that is our biggest number this year so far.

We haven't got alot in the way of facilities, we have a canteen a toilet (one) A practice range and 2 courses. No showers or club house yet.

When I joined DVA 13 years ago we had a tin shed, another tin shed as a toilet with a hole in the ground and a gutter to use. We also had a little wooden shed for targets. Indoor range back then? Never occurred that it was possible.

Yeah I guess you just have to keep working at it. If you can add a bit each year you will eventually get there.
