Is it just me, am I slow or just plain wrong?

It seems the Nats take up the first week of the second half of first semester, ie. the first week back after easter break!

Enyone worried about this?

Who's going O uni bums?

In my limited experience, archers who are also uni students are usually from the cleverer end of the spectrum and hence need only attend half the classes anyway.

Considering that you probably don't have that many classes anyways Rob, why are you worried?.....

Luckily for me, I don't have classes... ever, and I'm still a uni... student.
Since I get paid now :P

Which is good, as Easter is an opportunity for Kirsten and you to get better, where as it's not so good for me because I still have to work on my research... :-?

Now that you've lost Alex's bro's accomodation, hows things lookin for you?

I want to go, but would miss 8 hours of lectures and a 3 hour prac :(

So annoying.

Are the Vic school holidays out of sync with NSW?

"The students are revolting."

In my experience, as a part time lecturer, they always have been.

its not the junior nats, so why would it be put on during school holidays anyway you can miss a few lectures and pracs, just don't miss them all, that may have been my problem

I agree Brett.

I reckon there would be more uni students wanting to go to the senior nats than there would be school students, though.

It is a challenging thing to select the dates.
The key requirements are to select dates when archers can actually attend, and when you can actually have people available to run it.
What we did was to select one week of the Victorian State School holidays. That means that we can have a number of people available to help who could otherwise not do so.
The States do seem to have different holiday periods as well, and they are generally different to the uni holidays.
Not much we can do about it.
When I was at uni (1968-1974), the very first day of uni was always the same day as the Labour Day holiday in Victoria, and that was also the date of the State Field Championships. I did not attend a single first day of uni during my undergraduate degree. During my post-graduate degree my time was my own and it was not so great a challenge.

Brett Kent is now a first year student with UWS. He came 4th in the Field event at the Nats, and I have not yet seen the target results from today.

He could be a strong player in future Uni Games.
