dont look at the sight pin. concentrate on the x and let the pin find its own way.

This happens to me. I keep wanting to see the x/ring/spot that I'm aiming at and drop the pin low. I recently switched to a circle reticle (with a centre spot) and that help somewhat. I have now pissed the spot off and just use the circle reticle which has helped even more.
I feel your pain. :(

Are you bringing your sight down or bringing it up? I found that when I brought it up , I would freeze just below it , so I started to bring it down and that helped. :D

Well Bud,
You're not on your own in this, athough not to many will admit it.
I too have suffered this terrible disease to a point where I was temped to drop everything in the wheely bin.
With encouragement from others and a lot of reading I came to the conclusion that my gear was perfect and it was me that needed tuning.
Firstly I found that if I thought about the release when drawing up or at full draw the whokey hit me bad and if there was a gold medal for shooting 8 @ 7 at 6 oclock I'd win it.
Olddog has given you part of the answer, look at what you want to hit and nothing else.
forget about the release ...it will take care of itself without any mental help from you.
Try a circle ,,I am finding at the moment that this is helping.
You may laugh at this but try 1/2 off your draw length, draw back with slightly bent arm,,anchor,, then push out with front arm.
Sadly there is no magic cure to fix this.
Clint wrote an interesting post on a very helpfull way of working though this..
Maybe there is something here that will help,I hope so..

Yeah there is a cure, it's hard work and dedication to not punching the release.

GUess I'll live with aiming at the 10 regardless of the wind.
Why do people ask for advise and then argue with the answers?

I find it pretty hard to punch a cartersolution2, The chockyaddiction i set real light , though it isn't a punch , i use back tension to hold dot then i squeeze/slightly punch trigger. Hey , it's worked all these years . :D

I had this problem for a while and wat i found that fixed it was just aiming at the 10 ring and and just putting my finger on the trigger but not making the trigger go off and holding it there for about 10 seconds. I just did this and it seemed to fix the problem.

Actually i was trying that today and your right . I tend to start aiming low after the 10 second mark when i'm begining to get tired . I've only been back in the sport for 3mths after a 6 year break so i guess bow fitness is a little low at the moment . :)
