According to: http://www.ais.org.au/scholarships/applying.asp

Scholarships at the AIS - Applying

Available scholarships are advertised on the last Saturday in July each year in The Weekend Australian newspaper.

Current or pending Australian citizenship is the normal requirement for selection as an AIS scholarship holder. The selection criteria vary among the sports but, as a general rule, successful applicants would need to be competing at the national championship level.

Athletes interested in the following sports must apply on the official application form.

Archery, AWD (APC - Alpine Skiing), Athletics (including AWD), Basketball, Boxing, Cricket (women's), Cycling (road & track), Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey (men's & women's), Netball, Rowing, Rugby League (regional based athletes only), Sailing, Slalom Canoe, Soccer (men's), Squash, Swimming, Tennis Triathlon, Volleyball (men's & women's), Water Polo (men's).

I was thinking with your knowledge, experience and wit, you could be either a mentor or counselor, for the young folk....They would certainly have to look up to you Rob...And then you can tell stories about how you got away with being a corrupt baggage handler.
:D
