It will fit the ring, the bar itself is round,
Reason was the Tec Bar can be used as an aim device...
But there is nowhere in the FITA rule book relating Tec bar to aiming, even if someone could use it to aim, it will a lousy aim sight focusing on the Tec bar

see, I've heard of markings on a bow, usually on W&W's, that need to be covered up so they can't be used for ranging unmarked targets. But that's normally solved with a piece of tape. Not heard of the complaint that a tec bar can be used for aiming...

If I were you, I'd print out the above mentioned bit of the WA rule book that allow braced risers (assuming this is for a WA shoot) and if the judge complains in the equipment inspection point out that the rules state, braced bows are allowed. When in doubt, make the judges show you in the rules where it says it's not allowed. They're supposed to have their rule books with them.

Your best bet is to ask how this can be demonstrated. Sounds like someone is quite clueless.

again, to go back to the rules:

    - Risers including a brace are permitted
    - The bow as described above must be bare, except for the arrow rest, and free from protrusions, sight marks, marks or blemishes or laminated pieces (within the bow window area) which could be of use in aiming.

I can see someone objecting to a Hoyt-style swirled colour finish where you might be able to pick a point to use as a sight mark (interestingly, the Australian barebow compound rules specifically allow multicoloured risers) but unless someone can point to a mark, blemish, scratch etc on the TEC bar then I'd ask them again to point to precisely what rule is being contravened.

this is of course assuming you have the black riser, if you have the camo one then you would need to be prepared to tape everything in the line of sight.

It won't fit through the ring. Make a ring and test it.

ran onto one at the club this afternoon and put a tape measure on it. to the eye it's 120mm back to belly at the widest point. no way it will fit 122mm by the time you consider girth.
