Kaya limbs aren't that widely available yet, and Vittorio says that there are at least three prototype versions of vperf limbs around. I've seen two pairs, it is physically fairly heavy and that should explain the lack of speed (Vittorio says its similar to G3 in speed). |

You felt that the Kaya prototype was similar to a Samick Extreme. Ok You won't know the difference until you've shot something for 6 months. Ok You have not shot the Samick Extreme or the Kaya prototype for 6 months. So whose opinion is it that they felt quite similar then? It's already bad enough having a manufacturer whose brand means eggjam in my native language but these statements are confusing!!!

Does kaya mean anything in any of your native languages? It's just too difficult to take something like the ubiquitous eggjam seriously.

Kaya is the brand of the factory that in the past was making Cy-Bow branded limbs. It has been established around 3 years ago by some people formerly working in W&W. Last September during World Championship in Ulsan they asked me if I could have their new top level limbs named V-perf tested by my son, and sent a first pair around end September. Since then, Michele has shot several thousand arrows with these limbs and two other pairs he has received up to now, so I have to say we know these limbs quite well now.
Speed is a little bit low, compared to W&W recent limbs, but probably similar to the one Hoyt G3. Their real added content is torsional stability, that allows quite "hard" releases without big damages. Michele has shot in official indoor competitions with them from October to now 587/592/588/585 and finally 596 (298+298 ) just yesterday, winning on the way the finals in Nimes and a the Italian Indoor Champs. In training he has shot a couple of time a perfect 300, he was not getting since years. Just few minutes ago, back from training, he has told me that today he has shot up to 36 consecutive 10's, ending a 60 arrows scored training 300+297... Of course, at present he is in very good form, so we can't give the merit of the results 100% to the limbs (and the riser, as he is back to his old Best Zenit), but for sure comparative testings over 4 months now have shown he could get at 18 mt. 2 to 3 points over 30 arrows average more from these limbs than from those he was using before. Only remark, poundage maked tends to be similar to Samick one, or 1 to 2# more than expected. Is Kaya going to be the "next" giant? Presently is only a small factory with very dedicated and passionate people, but W&W was in a very similar situation, 12 yers ago.... Time will tell. As far as relationships with Fiberbow are concerned, they are Kaya distributors in Europe. Mauro Nespoli is also shooting Kaya V-Perf limbs on FB, and got 590 yesterday behind my son. They also make a carbon riser as well as 5 limb types, starting from the wood laminate to top of the line carbon foam also stabilizers.
http://www.kayaarchery.com/risers.html http://www.kayaarchery.com/limbs0.html You can pick up one from Alternative Archery for less than $1000.00, thats riser and carbon foam limbs

I have been using Kaya's Soul Maker stabilizers for a while now. I have to say that they are well made and perform extremely well. Probably the best all around stabilizers that I've had, and I've had a few. Very light in weight, and stiff enough at least for me.
I'm actually quite surprised that my trusted beiters have been gathering dust for a month or so now. |

You would do the same in his position Progen. It's a great way to advertise a discontinued product

I must admit, the risers do look nice. The red and yellow works surprisingly well.

Hawthorn, Sturt, Essendon and the mighty Stirling East Double Whites. Just in time for the footy season. Who'd have thought they were Aussie Rules fans

I'm don't think it's carbon? Or at least carbon as we know it. From the Alternative description:
"The 25 inch CNC machined riser is constructed from a uniform composite material with inherent damping properties" Might open up a new opportunity for "carbon is better than aluminium is better than CNC machined composite is better than carbon" arguments if anyone wants to start
